Dance Academy West Dazzlers

Dance Academy West’s Competition team, aka The Dazzlers, is an amazing group of approximately 25 dancers ages 7 through 18, who are passionate about dance and performing! Dazzler members take ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, contemporary, turns & leap, technique and conditioning classes. They attend a minimum of three regional competitions and five additional performances throughout the season and they attend Nationals in the summer. Dazzlers rehearse an average of ten hours per week and on Saturdays. Overall, the DAW Dazzlers are an outstanding, dedicated group of dancers.

Latonya Wyke

When it comes to getting our Dazzlers prepared, ready and polished no one does it better than our Dazzler directors Sherry Proctor and Latonya Wyke! Both Sherry and Latonya bring experience and dedication to the table. Latonya has been a judge for dance competitions and has an eye for what the judges are looking for when it comes to performance quality and showmanship. Sherry’s strict training in classical ballet ensures that our Dazzlers have an acute awareness of correct technique. Both love what they do and have a passion for our Dazzlers, Dance Academy West, and the art of dance.
